Paid Stamp Templates
Paid stamps are the invoice status marks of an accounts department: PAID with a date line, PARTIALLY PAID with space for an amount, CASH PAID for over-the-counter receipts, and CHECKED BY with initials for a review step. Convention puts them in red ink — a status mark has to jump off a page full of black text — in a plain rectangular frame, though nothing but habit stops you from using blue or a round layout. One thing to know before designing: the stamps here are static graphics, unlike a physical self-inking dater whose rotating bands change the date each morning. The standard workaround is exactly what the office-supply versions do — a printed DATE: line with a blank you fill in by pen, which also creates a small audit trail since the handwriting shows who stamped it. Typical users are bookkeepers, accounts-payable clerks, and small business owners who mark up supplier invoices, till receipts, and statements — either stamping digital PDFs with the transparent PNG export or ordering a physical stamp from the SVG.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should a paid stamp include the date?
Usually yes — a PAID mark without a date says almost nothing when you revisit the invoice months later. Because these designs are static graphics rather than band daters, the templates use a blank DATE: line you complete by hand at stamping time.
Does a paid stamp have to be red?
No rule requires it, but red is the near-universal convention for status marks because it stands out against black document text. The ink color control works the same on every template if your office standard is blue or black.
